Introduction event HPC@BUW
We are pleased to announce that on 25.04.2023 at 10:00 am, an introductory event on High Performance Computing (HPC) at the University of Wuppertal will take place. The competence network HPC.NRW and the Scientific Computing Center PLEIADES invite all interested parties to participate in the videoconference.
HPC enables researchers to perform complex and resource-intensive computations in the very short time frames. Increasing use of HPC is also observed in research areas not originally associated with HPC, such as linguistics and human sciences. With the help of high-performance computers large amounts of data can be analyzed, simulations performed and complex models can be created to gain scientific insights that would not be achievable on everyday computational resources.
The introductory event will provide insights into our range of services and inform you about the access possibilities to high-performance computers. It also gives you the opportunity to ask your first questions about the advantages and potential of HPC. It is aimed at all those who can benefit from HPC in their field of research, especially scientists who have not yet fully exploited the advantages of high-performance computing.
The 30 minutes introductory event will take place in the form of a video conference via Zoom. Please note the following details:
